Function

The needle plate (also called a throat plate or stitch plate) is the metal plate beneath your presser foot with an opening for the needle to pass through. This zigzag plate features a wider opening to accommodate the side-to-side needle movement required for zigzag and decorative stitches. The included bobbin cover protects the bobbin area and keeps thread feeding smoothly.
